Below are the updated bylaws which will be voted on at the next Association Meeting (date TBD).
CVMS PTSA Board & Chairs for 2026-2027
We almost have all positions filled! If you are interested in learning more or would like to be considered for a position listed below, please reach out to the Nominating Committee at: cvms.nomcomm@gmail.com.
- Board Positions
- Co-VP Ways and Means: Organizes fundraising efforts to support the PTSA budget and goals established by the board. Coordinates events and initiatives to secure necessary funds for PTSA programs
- Parliamentarian: Ensures meetings follow proper procedure and oversees bylaws and the nomination process
- Chair Positions
- Hospitality (all school year)
- Events (new chair to support Programs)
- Fundraiser (June, Aug-Oct)
- Reflections (May, Aug-Nov)
- Talent Show (Jan-Mar)

SpongeBob The Musical: April 15-April 18
Get ready to see your talented Bobcats perform in the Spring Musical! All performances will be in the PAC.
April 15: 3:30 pm
April 16 -18: 6:30 pm
8th Grade Promotion Auditions – May 7
As we prepare to celebrate your incredible journey at Carmel Valley Middle School, we are looking for talented 8th-grade students to play a starring role in our Promotion Ceremony on Friday, May 29th.
We are currently seeking 8th grade students to audition for the following:
- National Anthem: A solo or group vocal performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
- Student Speech: We are looking for an inspiring speaker to reflect on your time at CVMS. This year’s speech theme is: “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss.
Audition Details:
- Date: Thursday, May 7th
- Time: Starting at 3:00 p.m.
Location: Room 230
How to Apply: To participate, you must complete and submit the Promotion Audition Form. Please ensure you have a parent signature and, if auditioning for a speech, please bring a printed copy of your draft to the audition.
Important Deadline: Completed forms must be turned in to the front office no later than Friday, May 1st.

- We are down to only 20 books to sell and we cannot order more!!! Online sales will close soon and then we can no longer guarantee a book for your child. Buy your yearbook today!!!
Bobcat Fridays
EVERY Friday is Bobcat Friday! Students who wear their Bobcat spirit wear on Fridays will be eligible to win prizes, attend special events, and earn special privileges. If you are interested in skipping the lines to purchase spirit wear at our on campus events, you can order online through our CVMS Webstore and pick up your merchandise at Orientation and/or Mosey Monday!
Keep Our Schools Safe
SDUHSD has worked with local law enforcement to identify the best tool to report incidents that may impact our school environment. The San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center operates a Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) system for our county. You can help to keep our schools safe by reporting directly to the SAR school threat site. Although it does ask for identifiable information, you may submit your tip anonymously and the tip will still get routed to your local law enforcement.
